Morgan Smith

Morgan has graduated from Columbia College, Columbia University in addition to Columbia University and the Mannes College of Music. In New York City he was selected to be an Seattle Opera "young artist" (1999-2000). The singer made his professional debut at Seattle Opera in 2001 in Billy Budd. One of the most popular roles of Seattle and beyond, Mr. Smith has performed roles in a dozen other operas since his debut, including The Count Alamaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni (title role), Silvio in I Pagliacci, Riccardo in I Puritani and Peter Niles in Mourning Becomes the Electra. Smith is an a frequent performer on stage for concert performances. Smith performed his Dallas Symphony debut in Bach's St. Matthew Passion and was also part of the San Antonio Symphony at the North American premiere for Detlef Glanert's orchestral version of Brahms' beloved cycle, Vier Praludien Und Ernste Gesange. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is also on the program, along with the Requiems composed by Brahms Faure Mozart Durufle, masses by C Minor Mozart Vaughan Williams and Bach's B Minor Mass. Handel's Messiah, L'Allegro Penseroso Moderato, Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Bach's B Minor Mass, many cantatas, and Bach's Weihnachts Oratorium. Morgan Morgan Morgan
