
The band spent time on Boston's club circuit . They were led by Frank Connelly their first manager. They then began working together with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. In 1972 they signed a recording agreement and debuted their first album. It was followed in 1973 by Get Your Wings. Toys in the Attic. Rocks. and Draw the Line. These albums have helped Aerosmith to gain fame internationally. These albums are the origin of famous hits such as "Dream On", Walk This Way as well as "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's first five albums were all multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks have been regarded as among the top hard rock albums of all time. As the decade went by, however, the band's hectic lifestyle of playing, recording and staying together started to wear their bodies. Tyler and Perry were often called the Toxic Twins, for their legendary intake of stimulants and heroin. Aerosmith Behind the Music as well as many videos released by Aerosmith show their relationship. Tyler was apparently more dedicated to Aerosmith and appeared to dislike Perry's aloof attitude. Perry, however, envied Tyler's preference for the females she dated. Aerosmith's decline in popularity was likely due to the tension between Tyler and Perry as well as their once-friendly friendships.
